Privacy Policy

LearnFork is built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
What we store — and where
All your data lives exclusively in your browser:
- Conversations and messages are stored in your browser's IndexedDB
- AI provider API keys are stored in your browser's localStorage
- Canvas state and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage
None of this data ever leaves your device or is sent to our servers.
AI API calls
When you send a message, your request goes directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). LearnFork has no backend — we are not a middleman in this communication. Your API key is sent directly to the provider, never to us.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool that we self-host. It collects anonymous page view counts and feature usage events (e.g. "a branch was created"). No cookies are used, no personal data is collected, and no IP addresses are stored. Umami respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. You can learn more at umami.is.
Data deletion
To delete all your data, clear your browser's site data for LearnFork (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data, or equivalent). Your data is entirely in your control.
