Selection actions

Select any text in an assistant message to reveal a floating action menu with four options:

• Quote — branches from the message and pre-fills the input with the selected text as a blockquote, so you can ask a follow-up about that specific passage
• Branch — creates a new branch from the message (same as the Branch button)
• Google — opens a new browser tab with a Google search for the selected text
• Highlight — marks the selected text with a color (Pro only)

Touch support

On mobile, the text selection menu works with touch selection. Long press to select text, then use the native selection handles to adjust. The floating menu appears above the selection.
